Dining

The Faculty Club's dining areas offer different atmospheres to match any occasion. Consider a department luncheon or family breakfast in the Kerr Dining room, an impromptu gathering in the Great Hall, or just unwind over an afternoon drink at the Bar. Our kitchen, led by Executive Chef Carl Cheney, serves local and organic ingredients when possible. 

We are taking all necessary precautions as dictated by local health authorities to keep our guests and employees safe. For guests who would prefer to dine outside, seating is available on our spacious Kerr deck overlooking Faculty Glade, where you can enjoy a wonderful al fresco meal under our Japanese maples.       The Kerr Dining Room is our main dining room and an ideal setting for your weekday breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With a wide selection of excellent menu options and Northern California wines, the Kerr Dining Room is a favorite of our members and the wider Cal community.

  • Great Hall Lunch Line

      Many in the campus community regularly meet here to enjoy great food and great company in a cafeteria-style setting. In addition to the Grill and Sandwich Stations, the Great Hall Lunch Line offers a daily choice of hot entree special, soup special, sandwich special, and three salads. Pair your meal with a bottled beverage, self-pour wine by the glass, or a freshly baked TFC cookie.

      With arched windows looking out onto redwoods, oaks, and maples, the Bar offers your favorites from the Kerr menu with a relaxed change of scenery. Late afternoons and evenings, the bar is also the place to find spirited groups enjoying cocktails and delicious appetizers, as well as local wines and brews on tap.
