Hotel Reservations & Policies

We ask that you have a Faculty Club membership number or credit card information available to make reservations. Cancellations must be made 48 hours or no later than 11:00 a.m., two days prior to the arrival date. Guests who fail to give adequate cancellation notice and do not show will be charged for the first night, for each room reserved.

  • General Hotel Policies
    • Lodging is open to UC Berkeley Faculty, Staff, Alumni and the extended University of California campus community, including visiting scholars, business people and Cal parents. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian, or by an adult (at least 21 years of age) and provide a letter of consent from their legal guardian. The Faculty Club is a non-smoking facility. Pets are not allowed unless they are registered service pets.

  • Cancellation Policy
    • Notice of cancellation for individual hotel reservations must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. two days, or 48 hours, prior to the scheduled arrival date. The cancellation policy for group reservations varies from two weeks to thirty days, depending upon the number of rooms reserved. Failure to give adequate cancellation notice will result in a charge of at least one night per room reserved.

  • Check-In and Check-Out
    • Check-in is 2:00 p.m. or after. While we cannot guarantee early check-ins, we are happy to allow them if the room is vacant and cleaned. Guests who arrive before their room is ready will still be assisted with storing luggage, parking, and any other directions needed. Late-arriving guests should ring the doorbell if they find the doors locked.

      Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Late check-outs cannot be guaranteed but are permitted whenever availability allows. Guests must check with the front desk to see if a late check-out is possible. Late check-outs between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. incur a fee of $25.00, and a fee of $50.00 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Failure to depart by 2:00 p.m. will result in an additional charge of one full night.

  • Parking
    • Overnight guests may purchase campus parking permits at check-in for $18.00 per night. The UC Parking & Transportation Office sets and enforces campus parking policies, which are subject to change without our knowledge. Guests should read posted signs carefully before parking their vehicles. The Faculty Club is not responsible for parking citations.
