Hotel Policies

  • General Policies
      • Please note that the Faculty Club is a historic building and does not have elevators. All guest rooms are located on the second floor and accessible by stairs from inside the building. Guests who are unable to use stairs will need to exit the building and use ADA compliant pathways to access and reenter other floors of our building. If you or your guests have mobility issues, we strongly recommend that you consider these factors before booking. We will be happy to speak with you about our ADA compliant rooms and assist you in whatever way we can.
      • Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by their legal guardian, or by an adult with a letter of consent from their legal guardian.
      • Pets are not allowed, except in the case of registered service animals. 
      • The Faculty Club is a non-smoking facility.
  • Cancellation Policy
      • Notice of cancellation for individual hotel reservations must be received no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date.
      • For group reservations, the cancellation policy varies from two weeks to thirty days depending on the number of rooms reserved. Please contact the Front Desk with any questions.
      • For rooms booked during Cal Football games or Commencement, a two night minimum stay is required, and cancellations must be made no later than two weeks in advance.
      • Failure to give adequate notice of cancellation or early checkouts may result in a charge of at least one night per room reserved.
  • Check-In and Check-Out
      • Check-in is at or after 2:00 PM. For guests arriving after business hours, please ring the doorbell in the event the doors are locked.
      • Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. Late check-outs before 12:30 PM incur an additional fee of $25.00, and a fee of $50.00 before 2:00 PM. Departures after 2:00 PM will result in an additional night's charge.
      • Early check-ins and late check-outs cannot be guaranteed but some are permitted where availability allows; please check in with the Front Desk to see if either are available.
  • Parking & Transportation
      • Hotel guests may purchase overnight parking permits at check-in. Overnight permits are $15.40 per night and valid from check-in until 2:00 p.m. the following day. These permits may be used in the Bancroft Parking Structure during the day and overnight, and in other "C" lots or garages.
      • Arriving guests bearing luggage should first park in one of the temporary spaces in the small lot near the East entrance of our building.
      • The UC Berkeley Parking & Transportation Office sets and enforces campus parking policies, which are subject to change without our knowledge. Guests should read posted signs carefully before parking their vehicles. The Faculty Club is not responsible for parking citations.       • Guests have access to the following daytime shuttles: AC Transit, Bear Transit, and The Loop - Golf Cart ServiceBearWalk and Night Safety Shuttle.
